Click on an entry to edit the associated phonemes, on the right hand side. Double-click to edit the entry itself. Reorder the list by dragging (only with the Drag Manage); option-drag to copy items in this list. Press the Delete key to remove an entry.
This is the text which is spoken when the Speech Manager encounters the word in the list, in phoneme format. You can edit it directly, or convert from standard text using the ‘Convert’ button above. There is a size limit of 255 characters.
Type text into this box, then press the ‘Convert’ button below to have it converted into the phonemic representation used by the Speech Manager.
Click this button to create a new dictionary entry. It will be inserted at the end of the list, or before the first selected item.
Click this button to remove a dictionary entry. You will be asked to confirm this deletion. You can also select a group, or all the entries in the list, and delete them at the same time.
Click this button to convert the text in the box above into phonemes below. The phonemes will be inserted at the current cursor position, and will replace any selected text. This is not available if there is no dictionary entry active.
Click this button to speak the phonemes in the box below. This is not available if there is no dictionary entry highlighted in the list on the left.
This is a list of prosidic controls—special characters that are added to the phonemic representation to alter the way the text is spoken. Choose an item then use the ‘Insert’ button to add it to the phoneme text.
Click this button to add the prosidic control in the menu on the left to the phoneme text, at the current cursor position. Any currently selected text will be deleted.
